During the first season of Jersey Shore‘s 2018 reboot, star Vinny Guadagnino was dubbed “the Keto Guido” for his unwavering dedication to the diet. The scene of him drunkenly eating straight cheese and pepperoni off a pizza is a true testament to that. And now, the seasoned reality TV vet is releasing his own Keto cookbook.
Guadagnino took to Twitter Monday to announce the news, writing, “The keto diet has transformed my life and I’m confident it can do the same for you.” The book, appropriately titled “The Keto Guido Cookbook,” features a 100 of his fav high-fat, low-carb recipes and a 7-day meal plan.
“Growing up in a big Italian family didn’t naturally lend itself to a carb-free lifestyle,” the description reads. “So when Vinny started the ketogenic diet, the transformation in his body amazed him. He realized that eating keto was both healthy and sustainable, and he had never felt better.”

But how exactly did he pull off that 50-pound weight loss? By “flipping the traditional food pyramid upside down and finding a way of eating that’s enjoyable, satisfying, healthy, and one that never requires me to go on a ‘diet,” he wrote on Instagram.
For the skeptics out there (like myself)(sorry, I love carbs), let’s talk food. Apparently, Keto-friendly meals can be good. This was news to me too, guys! The recipe collection includes an Italian sausage breakfast casserole, zucchini roll manicotti, baked chicken caprese, and Tiramisu.
Because I need real, hard facts to stray from my current high-carb diet, Guadagnino also included a scientific breakdown of the diet from expert and wellness coach Karissa Long.
The Keto Guido is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and will officially drop September 24.
